EPISODE 32 » 06|28|2021
For minority groups, finding a community of peers in a highly homogenous profession can be difficult, but at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, inclusivity is all important. One of many student organizations at OSU CVM, the J.H. Bias Black Affinity Group was formed to provide a safe, supportive space for students, faculty, and staff of all backgrounds. In this episode, we are joined by the president of the organization, Kayla Orso, who shares insights into the black student experience, explains how J.H. Bias supports the black veterinary community, and explores ways veterinarians can come together to change the profession.
In part two, we continue our "Meet the Board" series with Dr. Michelle McFadden, District 7 Representative.
