Veterinary Dentistry and Oral Surgery of Ohio – Columbus, Ohio

Jill is a 2013 dual graduate of both The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Sciences and Columbus State Community College with an Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology of Applied Sciences, graduating with honors. She was subsequently licensed as a Veterinary Technician after passing the National Veterinary Technician Examination. She became a Veterinary Technician Specialist in Dentistry through the Academy of Veterinary Dental Technicians in 2020. She realized her true passion for dentistry while employed in a small animal practice soon after graduation, deciding to pursue her VTS certification shortly after. She began tracking for her specialty in dentistry in 2018 and passed her boards in 2020. She loves being the Practice Manager of VDOSO; she especially enjoys teaching CE courses and assisting in zoo dental procedures on a variety of species. Jill also started her own business in 2020, Jill’s Kwik Sharpening and Dentistry Training, offering on-site training in various aspects of veterinary dentistry for veterinary hospitals nationwide as well as working as a dental educator for several companies. Following her passion for teaching and inspiring others, Jill is active with the AVDT where she serves as the secretary and the exam chair for her college. She dedicates her time to improving oral care for patients in veterinary hospitals across the country. She has a passion for veterinary dentistry and strives to ignite that passion in others. Jill is a firm believer in improving the quality of our pets’ lives and assisting with them going home to live a comfortable and pain-free mouth.
