David Foley

American Association of Equine Practitioners – Lexington, Ky.

David L. Foley, CAE currently serves as the executive director for the American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP), where he began working in 1988. Initially serving in a variety of positions within the AAEP, he was promoted to executive director in 2000. A native of Louisville, David is a 1985 graduate of the University of Kentucky and holds a B.S. in agricultural economics. 

David is active within the equine, veterinary, and association communities and has served on numerous committees for a variety of industry organizations, including the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Racetrack Chaplaincy of America, and PATH International. He is a past president of both the Veterinary Medical Association Executives and the Kentucky Society of Association Executives. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the American Horse Council.

He and his wife Wendi live in Lexington and have two adult children.
