Christy King, DVM, MPH

Christy King is a clinical veterinary epidemiology and microbiology PhD candidate at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine (OSU CVM). Christy received her Master’s in Public Health with a specialization in veterinary public health in 2016 at the OSU CVM. In 2017, she finished her dual degree program and graduated with her DVM. Christy practiced small animal veterinary medicine in private practice for two years in Parkersburg, WV and another two years in Columbus, OH. Christy currently serves as the microbiology resident and clinical case coordinator for the OSU Antimicrobial Stewardship Program. Christy’s research interests include antimicrobial resistance, antimicrobial stewardship, infectious diseases, and infection control and prevention. She works with Lighthouse Veterinary Personnel Services to continue serving her community in general practice and likes to go on hikes with her pocket pittie, Nelly, in her free time.
